L'hôtel en quelques mots
The Four Seasons group is world renowned for its superb hotels and Four Seasons Hong Kong confirms this tradition. The hotel is located in the International Finance Centre (IFC) which can be found at the center of Hong Kong Island, making it ideal for those who want to fuse a luxury experience with Hong Kong’s busy shopping and business scene.
The Four Seasons is a relative newcomer to Hong Kong’s well stocked roster of luxury establishments. Founded in 2005, its had a relatively short time to impress visitors and critics when compared to the likes of the Mandarin Oriental or the Hong Kong Peninsula. However, if you are not looking for vintage credentials, it would be an absolute shame to pass up on this gem of a hotel.Located in the heart of Hong Kong Island, The Four Seasons mixes leisure and business in a way that few hotels can. Naysayers will say that location shouldn’t be the selling factor on an island with a 1,104 km2 surface area, but we’re sure they haven’t lounged in an infinity pool that merges seamlessly with a city skyline. Whether you’re enjoying its warm waters after a long day of shopping, or a nice afternoon nap, the pool’s relaxing effects are guaranteed as you enjoy classical music pumping through underwater speakers and pick at complimentary poolside snacks.
For those who would rather leave the lounging to the rest of the family, you will be happy to know that the Four Seasons has a fully equipped 24 hour business centre allowing you to be productive whenever you need to.
In terms of Spa treatment and relaxation, the Four Seasons offers the best and latest. The “Biologique Recherche Faciale”, pioneered by Yvan Allouche and perfected by his son Philipe has been getting rave reviews lately. The treatment strays away from the “ one size fits all” policy of most treatment centers and instead, fully customizes the session depending on your skins health and your long term and short term beauty needs. Estée Lauder’s lead makeup artist Tom Pechaux has been using it on his models for a while, so if you want that fresh catwalk look, you know where to go.
Food is an integral part of Hong Kong’s cultural landscape. The Island boasts some of Asia’s best cantonese food and caters for the cosmopolitan palette with ease. It’s understandable to approach the Islands fine dining with high expectations and you will be happy to know that the Four Seasons delivers. It is the only hotel in the world that houses two Michelin three star restaurants. The Caprice and the Lung King Heen has Four Season’s epicures satiated and if you want to join their ranks, be sure to book a reservation before the others clear out the succulent simmered lobster in supreme broth or the veal tenderloin blanquette with Girolle mushrooms.
The bread and butter of hotels are their rooms, if you don’t get that right well the rest just doesn't quite follow. In this department the Four Seasons offers quite a bit of real estate in each of its 399 rooms and 54 suites offering some of the most spacious rooms upmarket Hong Kong has to offer. As in most Hong Kong hotels, there is an interplay between the Chinese and Western cultures, some rooms blending both whilst others, excel in their respective style. Whichever you choose, all have a degree of comfort and class that we have come to expect from Four Seasons. The high speed internet is of course complementary and staring at the dazzling Hong Kong skyline from the comfort of your bed is priceless. We highly recommend the deluxe harbor view rooms, for their open feel and glittering sunrises.
